At Eiji's current point, he doesn't have an actual opinion of Kane. He wishes that he could talk to him and learn more about him, but he knows that right now that's impossible. He also knows that Kane is getting close to Hina and is unsure what problems that will start, but he wholly wants to stay out of the way of all of this.

What does Kane think about Eiji?

Kane likes Eiji, nice and friend, and if possible, wants to sit down with him and talk about his travels because it's something they haven't done and he hasn't gone outside of Japan after arriving in the past. Aware of the relationship between him and Ankh, he's trying not to be around him too much in case it angers the bird. He already knows he's a threat and all.

What he doesn't like is the whole medals thing going on with Eiji. Something happened in his past that Hina couldn't tell him and he believes it's something personal seeing as Hina told him that he had to ask Eiji himself. How that affected him and brought these medals to him, Kane is unable to connect the dots on that. Something to do with greed and desire and such are things he's not really familiar with. He also doesn't like this attitude he has that just because he knows he'll be fine in the end doesn't mean he shouldn't worry about things that could possibly happen to him in the meantime. He's in camp, not home and Kane knows a future can change especially since he's seen it first hand.

However, there is not much he can do about it. Eiji is stubborn and wants the power those medals give him. All he can do is support his decision, worry from time to time about it, and stop him when he decides to do something stupid.

He likes going to the poor countries the most! They don't have a lot, but they find ways to be happy. There is rich culture there and he shows you that you really don't need all of those extra things in life to be happy or get along.

It was bad enough that camp told him he was developing a crush and unaware of it since whenever the hell it started even worse when realization hits him that it's Hina out of all people. Very, very, very bad that this all comes the day after Shingo arrives. Eiji wasn't making things better as Kane was going in denial mode, refusing to believe this is even happening. So many emotions in a short amount of time, he freaked out and the only way to release it all was to punch Eiji. He regrets doing it, feels guilty about it, and thinks he could've done something else instead but freaking out plus the inability to think, yup. Not to mention he's now afraid that if Ankh ever finds out, he's so dead.

What kind of music would Eiji listen to?

All kinds! It's an expression of people and their lives, so of course he wouldn't be opposed to listening to a lot of different types. Growing up he wouldn't have put a lot of effort into hearing lesser known musicians. Anything popular that sounded good would be what he listened to back then, although since he never really kept up with music, he'd sometimes be behind.
